Just off the R512 in Broederstroom, Hartbeespoort. From Johannesburg, turn left at the T-junction onto the R512 and continue for 6 km. Turn left onto Skuilkloof Road, go about 200 m and turn right up the hill. The gate is about 250 m further, on the right.

How many guests can stay?
The lodge has seven en-suite rooms with 17 beds. Let Lawrence know how many are in your group and he will confirm the sleeping arrangements.
How is the lodge priced?
The lodge is booked exclusively by one group, so you have every room and all the shared spaces to yourselves. Send your dates and group size for a quote.
Please note that the bathrooms are open-plan with the bedrooms, which is worth considering when you plan who sleeps where.
How much deposit do I pay?
A 50% deposit confirms your booking, with the balance due on or before arrival.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 14:00 to 19:00 and check-out is by 10:00.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards, cash and EFT.
What facilities does the lodge have?
Shared spaces: a great hall with a big-screen TV (DStv), table tennis, darts and a bar area; a central atrium with fireplaces; an outdoor lounge; a full communal kitchen; a small gym; the upper deck with a Jacuzzi; a pool with a waterfall and slide; a boma and braai areas; a trampoline and jungle gym.
Rooms: seven en-suite rooms with hot water, plug points, a bar fridge, tea and coffee and mosquito nets. There are no TVs or aircon in the rooms.
Connectivity: free Wi-Fi, cell signal and backup power for load-shedding.
Do you serve meals?
No, the lodge is self-catering. The communal kitchen has everything you need to cook for the group, and there are restaurants, takeaways and pubs within 3 to 5 km.
Are there braai facilities?
Yes. There is a large sit-around braai and boma that doubles as a bonfire spot, plus a well-equipped kitchen with pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes. The lodge has no liquor licence and does not sell alcohol, so you are welcome to bring your own.
What should we bring?
Bedding, linen and bath towels are supplied. Please bring swimming towels, food and drinks, firewood and firelighters for the fireplaces, and your own darts if you want to play.
Are the rooms serviced during our stay?
Rooms are cleaned before you arrive and after you leave. Servicing during your stay can be arranged for group bookings.
Are there shops and restaurants nearby?
A SPAR and plenty of restaurants and bars are about 2 km from the lodge.
Can we camp?
There is no camping, but for larger functions and weddings special accommodation arrangements can be discussed.
What is there to do nearby?
Hot-air ballooning, the Harties Cableway, boat trips on the dam, game drives, animal sanctuaries, golf at Pecanwood and Blair Atholl, horse riding and the Cradle of Humankind are all close by. See our Explore page for more.
When is the best time to visit?
September to April is warm, with summer days around 30°C, which is pool weather. May to August is cooler, which is fireplace weather. Both have their charm.
